We opened our doors in Williamsburg in 2019 with a single espresso machine, a short menu, and a belief that good design and good coffee should live in the same room. Six years on, that hasn't changed.

The first hour is ours before it's anyone else's. Light comes in low through the front windows, the espresso machine warms up, and the first pour-overs go out slow and unhurried — no rush, just the quiet ritual of getting the day started right.
We work with a single roaster we've trusted since day one, and every bag is roasted in small batches just days before it reaches the bar. Beans are weighed and dialed in each morning, so the cup in your hand always tastes like it was made for today.
Our kitchen keeps the menu short on purpose — fewer dishes, more care in each one. Produce comes from nearby markets, plates change with the seasons, and nothing goes out that the team wouldn't order for themselves.
There's no pressure to turn the table. Soft seating by the window, low music, and enough space between tables to actually hear each other — LUMIÈRE was designed for people who came to stay, not just to grab a cup and go.
